Whats the recommended age?

A Normal Card Game is recommended for ages 13+. This rating is mainly due to the level of strategy, reading, and basic math involved. As with any game, parents and guardians know their players best and can decide what’s appropriate for their household.

What Included in the box?

Each box includes 80 cards, 4 dice, a rulebook, and a coin. Everything needed to play right out of the box.

How many people can play?

A Normal Card Game is designed for 2 to 4 players. It works great for small groups and scales well as more players jump in.
The most we have played with on a single copy is 6 players.

Is the game hard to learn?

Not at all. The rules are simple and the setup is quick, so most players can learn from scratch in about 5 to 10 minutes, even if they have never played a combat card game before.

    I've never really played card games before, let alone a combat card game, and this one was so easy to learn.     I picked up this Normal Card Game to add to my family friendly game shelf. Its great for kids, 13 and up is what the game is labeled but my 10 year old, who loves Pokemon and games like Unstable Unicorns loves it! I'm not a huge card based game player so I wont have a bunch of detailed help for you other than just have fun! This is a silly and fun game and it can be as silly or as fun as you want it to be for those that don't take it too seriously!

    Simple to play and learn
    A normal card game feels really well made, the cards are of a really good quality, the game itself has some Magic the Gathering feel and mechanics, so I really enjoyed it, also a great way to ninja teach your family how to play a game similar to Magic the gathering so you can introduce them to it later. But overall very fun for the family and easy to learn and play!

    Fun quick and funny
    Its fun, fast paced, not overly complicated and easy to learn which is something that always ruins a good game for me when it takes longer to learn how to play than the actual game play. The packaging is clean, simple and stylish, it doesnt come with a bunch of BS just the rule book, a token for coin toss, and 4 20 sided die for keeping track of your HP. The cards are humorous and have great entertainment value in addition to the simple quality of the game. My husband and I have enjoyed playing it so far, and while any game with a small deck looses its thrill after a few plays, I think an expansion could easily bring more replayability to the game. I feel like you get your money's worth if you play it more than a handful of times anyway.

    Well-made and fun game!
    A good game can be ruined by poor packaging and just overall lack of execution and care. That's not the case with this one because it's packaged very well and everything feels well made. On top of that, it's drenched in style so you can tell they cared about making a good game. The instructions have just enough detail while still being easy to follow. But how does it play? It's fun! I've never played a game like this before but I'm sure there are other ones similar out there. Attack each other's characters and use abilities which adds another layer. Easy to learn and play, I'm glad I got it :)

    Indie game that nails both quality and fun
    I honestly don’t usually leave reviews but I wanted to push back on some of the others about price and quality. First off the cards in this game are black core, which is the same high end stock Magic the Gathering uses, as a TCG geek this was a major surprise back when Kickstarter launched and I heard the creators say that in a community meeting in the discord. That’s not something you see in basically any other indie game and it’s the most expensive option to produce. I also heard the creators talk about how with tariffs and all the extra costs they don’t have much room to lower the price. Honestly once you know that it makes sense, I mean as far as I know, only two people make and work on this game and neither come from a board game background, they are both pretty young too. On top of that the game itself is just really fun and feels different from anything else I’ve played. It’s quick to pick up, the art and design are unique, and it’s become one of the games my group plays the most.
